A Little Family Bike Ride

I had been anticipating this day for so long. Last summer we didn't get to ride bikes because I was HUGE with baby brother in my belly. The excitement was quickly extinguished by a little screamer! We had one very excited rider and another who wasn't quite into the whole bike riding idea. Well, really he wasn't into the whole helmet wearing, being strapped into a cart type of bike riding. If we could have taken his helmet off and let him climb around freely in the cart, he would have LOVED it. Nothing beats the sound of a screaming baby during some "family fun." Needless to say, we spent more time packing and unpacking the bikes than we did on the trail.....Well - until next year? :)She really did enjoy it. She even tried to calm her brother with binkis, drinks, and singing Itsy Bitsy Spider for him.
The one time he stopped screaming. We stopped to give him a cracker (after about only 3 minutes of riding). Yes, I was prepared with snacks and drinks, thinking we would be on the trail for a while. Who was I kidding? HA!

1st Birthday Party!

Where has the time gone. This past year has flown by so fast.Lucky kids..one year old and they already have matching cars!
I LOVE a picnic table full of kids. So cute.
He wasn't too sure about the cake. He picked at the eyes and ears, but that was it. No eating any of it!

What fun we all had celebrating the little guys 1st birthday. The poor guy began the day at Urgent Care with a double ear infection. However, after a little medicine, he did OK.

Special Friends Day

She invited her Mama and Papa to Special Friends Day at her school. They had breakfast together, sang a song, and played together. She was excited to show off her school to Mama and Papa...Even though she doesn't look very happy in this photo. My guess is that a "stranger" was taking it and she did not like that "stranger" talking to her! HA! :)
I am so happy with their school. She is learning sooo much already and the staff has been so welcoming!

Happy Birthday to You....

My baby boy celebrated his first birthday on Friday. We spent the day at the Zoo. His favorite animals were the gorillas. He kept pointing to them. All the others did not interest him much. He was more concerned with climbing out of the stroller.
We went to Stingray Cove. I highly recommend it. It was so fun. She loved it. By the time we left, she was soaking wet from the stingrays.

Yes, he already has fallen off of his chair many times. He even got a little bruise on his cheek already. PERFECT gift for him! He loves it.
He didn't seem to like his cake much. He never ate any of it, just flung it around - trying to get it off of his hands.
