Sweet Dreams

Guess who's finally sleeping in his own bed at night?!? Only took 8 months after we moved to our new house to convince him that his room is not scary. He's not all the way convinced because he sleeps with 3 lights on. I'm ok with that because this has greatly improved our bedtime process. Mommy and Daddy make many less trips, if not any, up to "yell" at them and tell them to stop fighting and GO to sleep. They were a little too close for comfort sleeping together in one bed.

Happy 10 months!

Busy, busy month. He has learned lots of new tricks and is growing so fast. I need a pause button before my baby is all grown!
This month he learned to~
Perfect crawling
Wave and say "hi, momma, & dadda" with meaning
He understands so much and can answer our questions by modding his head.
Sight language for more and all done
And started eating real food. He loves it!

Still waiting for the mastery of sleeping through the night.....it will soon come and then I may miss my middle of the night snuggles.

Great grades!

Someone got all VG (very goods) and S(strongs) on her report card. Her teacher said she had a great quarter with writing and is often seen reading a book in her free time. We celebrated at her favorite dessert place...I guess paying $17 for 4 ice creams is our new expensive tradition for good grades...yikes! It's worth it!

First hike of the season

We had a blast on our first family hike. It was a 2 mile hike through woods, rocks, waterfalls, and creeks. The kids loved it. They were all troopers and walked the whole way. There were places to stop and play in the creek and in rock " caves" as we called them. With as much climbing on every rock formation we passed, the little guy easily walked 3 + miles! By the end the kids were wet and dirty. Little dudes shoes were soaked from running through creeks and waterfalls. It was fun and they can't wait for their next hike.

Busy, busy

This guy is a busy little beaver. He has mastered crawling and is quickly moving onto pulling up. He is on the move and loves to explore. I love to see babies in cabinets and pantries making huge messes. It's so fun to watch. Plus, it keeps them busy long enough to get something done, like the dishes. However, daddy thinks otherwise. It sends him into a panic attack. Luckily here, dad was at work.
