Celebrate a night of uninterrupted sleep!

He has officially and finally slept through the night for the first time in his life. He went to bed at 9:30 and didn't wake up until 5:30. I can't believe it. I forgot how good a night of sleep felt. I feel like i have been tortured this past year. Thank you table food and formula for finally filling his tank up!  :)

"Hello!"

He grabbed the toy phone and held it up to his ear. Then he yelled out a baby babble ("ehh")  as if to say, "hello". I couldn't believe it. He's never done anything like this before.
So, I ran to get me camera and when I returned, he had thrown the phone down and moved on to another toy. When I said, "where's your phone?"  He instantly stopped and crawled over to grab the phone and began talking to it again. So cute and funny!  How did he know that was a phone?  Phones don't look like that anymore. They look like an IPhone. ;)

Pool time has begun!!

We have already ventured to the pool. The water is the perfect temperature for kids...ice cold. Apparently, they don't care!
I think the littlest guy is going to be a little fish, too. He loved having his feet in the water and loved kicking and splashing. When I took him out, he would grunt and scream until I put his feet back in the water.

First taste of summer.

What yells summer better than a Red, White, & Blue Popsicle?!?
Maybe, watermelon...which we had also. We are ready for summer!

Rub-a-dud-dud 3 kids in a tub

First time baby brother joined them in the big kids tub.  It didn't go too smoothly. He was like a little bobber, just wobbling all over. However, they had fun.

Last day as a cute little kindergartener!

I can't believe her kindergarten year is over already!  This had the be the fastest year of my life. It seems like just yesterday she was trying on uniforms and picking out her favorite bow to match and order for school. I have to admit the last day made me tear up a little as the last bell rang and the teachers ran out of the building cheering for the kids.
She learned lots this year. She is reading and writing. She loved school and loved her teacher. I am so thankful that her first year went to smoothly.
She made lots of friends. The following are her favorites. She talked about them all the time and loved to play with them.

However, there was one kid that topped the list from the very first day. She loved to talk about him and about how funny he was everyday. His name was Gus. After talking to his mom many times, it appears the fondness was mutual. He enjoyed her company as well. I'm happy he's a nice boy from a nice family.  Hope she stays away from the trouble makers.  Little kindergarten love....

They were even placed next to each other at the big kindergarten Opera.  ;)

Cat nap time

A couple of cousins catching a cat nap together on the walk home from the park.

Look what I can do...

I was just starting to get worried because we were getting closer to his one year mark. The doc said if he's not pulling up by a year that she would start to be concerned. Don't need to worry anymore. He just crawled over to the table and after a few grunts, he was up. All in his own time...he knows what he's doing.
Now, on to rolling over from back to belly. That one scares the you know what out of him. However, we are working on it. I need to get my "turtle off his back".

Smooshed Baby Face

Typical smooshed baby face on a window photo...
I couldn't stop laughing at him as he licked and slimed the window.

First Wagon Ride

This was our first wagon ride of the season. It was a nice evening. So, we enjoyed a stroll around the neighborhood.
The special thing about this pic is that I just realized how stinkin cute it is. When I was taking the pictures, I was so focused in getting them to both look at me and smile. Little did I know, my favorite picture would be one of the "bad" ones. They love each other!

Our All Star

Against her will, we encouraged her to sign up and play softball this year. We prepped her by saying that if she did not like it, she would never have to play again. I'm glad we forced her to play because she loves it. I think she may like it more than soccer. The pink shoes, helmet, and bat probably help a little. ;)
Due to all the stinking rain, she has only had one game. That one game was a success. Her first time up at bat, she hit the first pitch. It was great! The outfield play was typical of kindergarteners~lots of day dreaming, not paying attention, and playing with the grass. Best game I had seen in a long time!

My Handymen

Oh, just a Saturday night filled with some cute handymen fixing stuff....
They were quick, too. A faucet installed in under an hour with no extra trips run back to the hardware store.
They were pretty reasonably priced, too. I would recommend them.
