Kindest Girl
I was so proud, that I almost cried. In the first month of school, she had already earned an award. It wasn't just any award, it was the kindness award. Her school had been studying the virtue of Kindness all month. She was chosen from her class as the student "who best displayed the virtue of kindness." Her teacher said that she is kind to everyone and plays with everyone. I am sooo proud of her for being a great friend to everyone!
She was recognized in front of her school and the whole church after Mass one Friday!
Money, money, money.....Money!
The tooth fairy has frequented our house the past week. 2 teeth lost in one week. While brushing her teeth before school, I heard an instant cry. I ran upstairs and knew what had happened. She lost her first tooth. It had been barely hanging on but in fear of the pain and blood, she would not let me pull it out. Everyone was excited, except her.
After a little convincing that it didn't hurt and the blood will stop, she began to smile.
Here's the loot...1 dollar and 4 quarters! She spent it that next day. :)
Less than a week later, she lost another tooth while eating lunch at her school. I happened to be up volunteering and again, I heard the same thing as last time, crying. Her other bottom tooth was out and MISSING! After lots of searching,we came the conclusion it was now a part of her stomach. Luckily, she has an awesome principal. Her principal wrote the tooth fairy a note explaining what had happened at school. She stuck the note under her pillow and the tooth fairy came again. She was so excited that the note actually worked without the tooth.
Go Cards!
Had to post this last one...caught big brother in action...poking the baby in the face for no reason. Baby brother learned early on the art of blinking quickly and often when big brother approaches. :)
Happy 4 Months!
My itty bitty baby is growing up soo fast. He is chunking out and turning into a big boy. The other day I found myself carrying him around on my hip....Wow, already a hip baby. No more supporting upper body or head.
This past month has been a busy one. He has learned to hold toys, put things in his mouth, attempts to hold his bottle, puts himself to sleep in his baby bed (no more sleep rocker next to my bed), can copy some sounds and mouth movements (sticking out his tongue)and he still loves to look at himself in the mirror!
He continues to be such a happy baby. He smiles at anyone looking at him, seriously. I think he will be quite the talker, too. He already has a lot to say.

Sleep Tight...
Finally! We have found the solution to our never ending sleep problems. Praise the LORD! The poor guy was scared of the dark and couldn't express it. After months of struggles and strategies this is the only thing that helps him sleep soundly. Sissy is so nice to let him share a bed with her. He may have his own, super cool, big boy room but he can sleep with her as long as he wants. I have to admit, I think it's kind of cute..especially if you see it in person..the dog sleeps at the foot of the bed, too.
3 Months
This little guy still gets the Happiest Baby Award. He is SOOOO smiley. He loves to coo and smile and laugh at anyone. He is changing so fast I can't keep up with the baby book. So, I have to jot things down on the calendar and get back to it as soon as I can. He still goes to sleep around 8, sleeps until 1 or 2,and then eats again at 5. He loves to sleep and snuggle on his belly (which is a no-no but I let him do it every once in a while when I can keep a close watch on him)
Brotherly love. I caught a moment when big bro was being nice and climbed under to play with him. It reminded me of when Big Sissy did that for the big bro back when he was a baby. I even think I posted the pic on the blog...back in December of 2009..or some time around then.
He was Baptized this month. Uncle Josh and Aunt Allison will be great God Parents. Uncle Josh already calls him a "Cool Little Dude." Funny that Uncle Josh is the Godfather because some of us think that baby brother looks like Uncle Josh's baby pictures. It was a match made in heaven!
Dump Truck Par-ty!
My little "worker man" (as he calls them) had a FUN birthday party! Construction and dump truck theme was a hit with him, and me as well. I think I had the most fun with this party so far as a Mom. It was fun thinking and finding all kinds of construction party ideas.
Can't believe "baby Brother" is no longer a baby. He's 3!
We had a great time posing for the photo prop, hitting a pinyata, eating pizza, and drinking out of fun construction cone sippy cups.
As a three year old he LOVES cars, trucks, tractors, fire trucks, and Spider Man. Really anything a boy would like, he likes it. He loves playing outside and is impossible to keep clean. Running up and down the slide, riding his bike, and getting dirty are his favorite. He says some funny things now, too. Like calling every bird he sees a "bird hawk", making fun of Daddy's cooking "Raise your hand if your eating all burned up thing", and ending every name with "Head" ( mommmyhead, soaphead, shoehead, etc.) He thinks it's funny to make up names. Poo and Pee jokes are also peaking..I hope.
On a more serious note, he is becoming much more willing to learn. He is starting to want to color, write and sing his ABC's. He loves books and he loves his Sister and joins in on her imaginary play. He is a great big brother. He has filled the missing role Big Sister played very well. He does a great job of watching out for the baby brother and giving him is binky. Could go on and on...love this little guy!
