I want to share my little bit of exciting, professional, and very much unexpected news with those closest to me!
I was welcomed to work on Friday with many "congrats." Little to my knowledge, an email had been sent out about me. My principal nominated me from our building for the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award. The email said this award recognizes "teachers with outstanding contributions to the teaching profession and to the students they teach."
I couldn't believe it. I never, never, never expected to be nominated for any type of award, ever! Since I became a Mom, I simply do my job and not much else. I am not the one getting to work hours before school or staying hours after school. However, somehow I must have done something right.
Definitely a proud professional moment! Thanks for letting me share....
