"Me and My Teddy Bear"

I am one proud Mamma this weekend. I have never felt such excitement for one of my kids' accomplishments as I have this weekend. My little girl had her first dance recital. She preformed to a song, "Me and My Teddy Bear" on a large stage in a big auditorium. She loved every part of it, especially the makeup and sparkles. As we were walking them from backstage after the first night's performance, she looked up at me and said, "I wanna do it again." Lucky for her, we got to do it all again the next day.
As I think back to exactly one year ago, we were in such a different spot. I was nervously trying to find the perfect, nurturing preschool that would accept my very shy and easily overwhelmed 3 year old. Wow, how times have changed. I think this past year in preschool has helped her come out of her shell.
NO TEARS this weekend! All SUPER STAR! SOOOOO PROUD of you my BIG, Little girl!

The water fountain outside the auditorium caught baby brother's eye. All he wanted to do was get out there. So we followed his lead and went out to play. Why not celebrate with a fun run through the fountain in style, with a pink, sparkly outfit! (I think I got my moneys worth out of that costume) I'm sure the dance Diva moms wouldn't have approved of me letting her run through in her costume..but who cares...We didn't get caught. FUN DAYS!

Pond Fun!

"Happy Father's Day Papa! We're so glad we gave you cookies, so we could eat them all up!"We enjoyed another walk (well, really a ride in the back of papa's truck) down the hill to play in the water. This time the kids actually got in the water with Mama and Papa. The little fun they had was worth the filthy clothes, waterlogged diaper, and the ring around the tub. I took a pass for this time, too much slime in the water for me.
Funny how I actually got them both to look at the camera and wasn't even trying this time!
Some serious fish watching!Even the dog is looking!

SUMMER! Oh, how I have missed you!

We officially started our summer off with all the traditions...
~Boating~
The kiddos loved it!We had time to squeeze in a little tubing. The little guy was in awe of it all. Sissy made sure to let Daddy know that he shouldn't go fast! She wasn't as positive about the sport of tubing.

~Beach Play~
He wasn't quite a fan of the sand between his toes. Something we need to work on before we head off to Florida in a few weeks.
~Watermelon~
How it drips, how it drips...up and down my elbows, up and down my elbows...spit out the pits!
~Junk food~
Dip, anyone?
~Pool party and BBQ~
Great fun with our favorite cuz! After this past weekend, we have the summer spirit!
YAY! SUMMER! YAY!

.....now 3 more days of work...I think I can, I think I can...

Meet The Machines

They had such a great time with their cousin today. We got to go see some big machines, helicopter, fire truck, and any other type of vehicle you could imagine. For some reason all the kiddos were a little overwhelmed by all the machines. They didn't really want to go on any of them. So, we just looked at them.
Her official hard hard!
The booth that got the most excitement out of them was the hoop toss game that gave out suckers. Of course, candy always wins kids over. :) The sandy beach was a close second to the suckers. They were digging to try and find gold.
We finished the afternoon with yummy lunch, long naps, and a little water play back at our house. What a fun and busy day.
We sure are going to miss our favorite cousin when he moves away. Only a few more weekends to soak up the FUN!

Mother's Day Breakfast

The kiddos Pre-school hosted a Mother's Day breakfast on Monday. It was so much more than I could have imagined. The hall was so colorfully decorated, the food was great, and the little "Mommy" song they preformed was adorable.
Sissy sitting with 2 of her favorite friends from school as they preform their "Mommy song".
He ate sooooo much food!

The breakfast also gave me a chance to talk with some of the other Mommy's. I found out that many of their friends in their class will also be going to the same grade school. The friends my kids are making now could possibly stay with them for a long time. As I left, I felt a sense of peace. Somehow, we are right where we are supposed to be. Whatever path that took us to this preschool and parish has been a blessing.

I was so happy that I decided to take a half day away from work to join my kids!

Go Cards!

My littlest cards fan. Well, really...my littlest Fred Bird Fan. He would shake with excitement when he saw Fred Bird.
Sissy got to see Fred Bird up close. He bit her head!
Surprise Daddy! Happy Birthday! We surprised Daddy with a family trip to the ball park. Much to my surprise, it was a lot of fun. The kids loved Fred Bird and Sissy only asked for Cotton Candy and Frozen Lemon aide 1529 times. :)
Their first look at the field.
