Snow Fun

First snow of the season. 7:45 AM and we were already out there. Kids drove me crazy enough asking that I finally gave in and let them go out. All bundled up and having fun on our own personal sledding hill. Big brother lived up to his standards and was wild. Baby Bro enjoyed the sled rides but not walking in it. Notice the smooth move of Baby bro in the first pic. Big bro tried to be silly and pull baby bro's sled down after he took off down hill. The plan backfired and he ended up getting run over. HA!
That's the life. Warming up inside with a nana and TV.
Check out those sledding cheeks!

Gobble, Gobble

Thanksgiving included lots to be thankful for this year. Thankful for 3 healthy who like to make silly faces, a silly turkey hat that the little guy apparently wouldn't take off at school, and family dance parties with cousins.

Halloween Flashback...

Our little Lion, Jake and the Neverland Pirate, and Ariel braved the cold and rainy elements with friends to get some candy. The little Lion enjoyed himself. He was a crowd pleaser and got lots of "ahh's". He did not want any help from us and ran as fast as he could to keep up with the big kids. He only fell a couple times but managed to grab the candy.

Annual Christmas Getaway

We took off on our annual Christmas getaway. We love to head there every year that we can. I think this is the 5th year we have gone. About every other year, we get to enjoy the company of friends. This year it was even more fun because we got to go with some great friends. We stayed in a very simple cabin next to the lake. No frills but it was perfect for us. The view was beautiful. The kids had a blast running around, jumping on beds, and staying up late.
The second day down there, we headed to our favorite breakfast place. A little old gas station turned infamous breakfast joint. Huge pancakes, mismatched coffee mugs, and random toys to keep the kids busy. It's a must!
Then came Christmas card photo shoot time. Every family blocked the road to get the perfect photo for our cards.
Santa gets the majority vote his year. Only one was not a fan. He never cried but did show his distaste. Sissy asked for an IPad. Big brother asked for a basketball and a blankie for his baby brother. How sweet is that?!? He did that all on his own. Baby brother loves big brothers satin blanket. So, Big bro decided to help out and ask for another blanket.
THe day was filled with fun rides, parades, carollling, hot cocco, and a night train ride. Great day!
Before heading home, we ventured out and rode the ducks! If you haven't ever done it, you should. The kids had a blast. They enjoyed driving it in the water. Half way through, hubby and I had the hardest laugh we had had in a long time. Big bro threw a wrench in the tour that was saved by an old water bottle...memories!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Again, feeling guilty. I realized I never posted the poor 3rd child's birthday. So, flashback with me about 6 months. Baby brother turned ONE! He was a great sport. He loved all the company and his cake. For once, I have a child who enjoyed his first birthday!
After Birthday party snuggles in bed. Time to relax!
For his REAL birthday, we went out with our cousin to a fun garden and enjoyed playing in some fountains.

Feeling Guilty....

I'm feeling guilty that I have not kept up with the blog. Big brother got out the book I had made from printing all of the first couple years of Blog entries out. I realized then how great that was for the family. I don't scrapbook or journal. So, this was my one way to share pics and stories, then print out and save for my kids to have forever...Soooo, Here goes. I'm going to try and keep up a little better.

Sooooo long October!

Usually, October is one of my favorite months but not this year. Our October was barely enjoyable with all the chaos that erupted weekly. We made it through pneumonia, hand foot & mouth, fever and stomach flu virus.  Followed with destruction of our house by our anxiety ridden dog. Then lice hit!  Blahhhhhh. It's short of a miracle that I didn't run off into the sunset.
There is one silver lining....I wouldn't have caught this cute pic of these cute kids
