My Little Fishy!

He finally did it! He graduated from the Froggy (Toddler Room) to the Fishy Room. In the past month he gave up the binki and got potty trained all in preparation for the Fishy room.
Wish he would hold back his excitement a little! :)

She's here!

We are so excited to have a new family member. We were lucky enough to be at the hospital when my niece was born. How fun!!

Sissy was in a little bit of heaven. She has played "tiny baby" for years and she finally got her chance to do it in real life. She couldn't wait to hold her cousin. Baby brother watched for a while and then was more interested in the snacks and water from the vending machines. On our way to the hospital, he called out, "push baby down." He didn't quite get what was going on. :)Proud Parents...never thought I would see this day but am ever so grateful it came.
Once again, getting in our little snuggles with our new little one. Sissy loved to look at her. Someone, on the other hand, was tired of the tiny baby and all the pictures. Can you guess who? :)

Her "Real Birthday"

Finally!! She is 5!! It is her real birthday!! I decided to take a day off of work to have some birthday fun. I realized that this is the last year I can take off with her for a day of fun. Next year, she will be in BIG school and can't miss just because of her birthday. It was our last chance.
The big, sought after gift was the Twinkle Toe Shoes. Just as I said earlier, they describe her so well; sparkly, fancy, rainbow, and a little something extra..
After breakfast, we started the day with a little arts and crafts. We went to the pottery shop and did a little painting. She chose a unicorn and he chose a bunny. Baby brother was so patient as Sissy painted her unicorn rainbow style for over an hour and a half. Then off to the Children's Museum for some extra fun.

What a great week of birthday fun! I can't believe she is 5 already. Where did the time go?

"My Pretend Birthday!"

Last weekend we celebrated her "pretend birthday" with a party. According to her, since it wasn't her real birthday it should be called her pretend birthday. Real or Pretend, she had a great time!
Her cake was perfect for her. It described everything about her personality right now...sparkly, rainbow, butterfly, and just a little extra something special.
Of course, we couldn't forget the Bieber. He managed to make it into a few photos.

They love each other!

We ended the long day with some night fun. In the spirit of the movie "Tangled", we let off some floating lanterns into the sky. Other than worrying that a flying ball of fire was floating out of control over neighbors houses and across the sky, they were very fun. :) We watched them float for a long time until they disappeared into the sky. The kids loved them.

Christmas 2012

Another great Christmas....
Christmas Eve dressed in our Christmas best.

Our new little tradition of building gingerbread houses was fun. This year we bought a kit and turned out some fantastic houses. Sissy had great attention to detail. Baby brother had great attention to sucking on the candy before he put it on his house. Poor Uncle Josh wasn't warned before he sampled a candy from Baby Brother's house. Yuck! :)
It wouldn't be Christmas Eve without a visit from the"Janky Jennings' Santa." Santa did not disappoint again this year. Sissy loved that Santa came and brought gifts to pass out. Baby Brother had to have some coercing to get out from behind my leg and approach Santa. The adults always love a good laugh at Santa's smoothness and detailed clothing. :) I am not sure who enjoys it more the adults or kids.
And yes, Santa brought my son guns and ammo...Not sure if that is very jolly. :)

Yay! Santa pulled through with a Barbi Bike and a Cars Bike!

We couldn't forget another great Christmas gift...a visit from our favorite cousin! We miss him lots and can't wait until he moves back. :)

We got snow! It wasn't on Christmas but we still took advantage of the little time it was on the ground...Love the snowman kit I got free from Children's Place. We're never missing a piece to a complete snowman.

Such a great time spent off from work and with family! Is it really time to go back already?!?

Christmas Trains

Our train lover enjoyed watching the Christmas trains again this year.

It was impossible to get a picture of him looking at the camera with a train in the background. He couldn't take his eyes off of them.
Looking in the tunnels for those Christmas trains...
