SUMMER! Oh, how I have missed you!

We officially started our summer off with all the traditions...
~Boating~
The kiddos loved it!We had time to squeeze in a little tubing. The little guy was in awe of it all. Sissy made sure to let Daddy know that he shouldn't go fast! She wasn't as positive about the sport of tubing.

~Beach Play~
He wasn't quite a fan of the sand between his toes. Something we need to work on before we head off to Florida in a few weeks.
~Watermelon~
How it drips, how it drips...up and down my elbows, up and down my elbows...spit out the pits!
~Junk food~
Dip, anyone?
~Pool party and BBQ~
Great fun with our favorite cuz! After this past weekend, we have the summer spirit!
YAY! SUMMER! YAY!

.....now 3 more days of work...I think I can, I think I can...

Meet The Machines

They had such a great time with their cousin today. We got to go see some big machines, helicopter, fire truck, and any other type of vehicle you could imagine. For some reason all the kiddos were a little overwhelmed by all the machines. They didn't really want to go on any of them. So, we just looked at them.
Her official hard hard!
The booth that got the most excitement out of them was the hoop toss game that gave out suckers. Of course, candy always wins kids over. :) The sandy beach was a close second to the suckers. They were digging to try and find gold.
We finished the afternoon with yummy lunch, long naps, and a little water play back at our house. What a fun and busy day.
We sure are going to miss our favorite cousin when he moves away. Only a few more weekends to soak up the FUN!

Mother's Day Breakfast

The kiddos Pre-school hosted a Mother's Day breakfast on Monday. It was so much more than I could have imagined. The hall was so colorfully decorated, the food was great, and the little "Mommy" song they preformed was adorable.
Sissy sitting with 2 of her favorite friends from school as they preform their "Mommy song".
He ate sooooo much food!

The breakfast also gave me a chance to talk with some of the other Mommy's. I found out that many of their friends in their class will also be going to the same grade school. The friends my kids are making now could possibly stay with them for a long time. As I left, I felt a sense of peace. Somehow, we are right where we are supposed to be. Whatever path that took us to this preschool and parish has been a blessing.

I was so happy that I decided to take a half day away from work to join my kids!

Go Cards!

My littlest cards fan. Well, really...my littlest Fred Bird Fan. He would shake with excitement when he saw Fred Bird.
Sissy got to see Fred Bird up close. He bit her head!
Surprise Daddy! Happy Birthday! We surprised Daddy with a family trip to the ball park. Much to my surprise, it was a lot of fun. The kids loved Fred Bird and Sissy only asked for Cotton Candy and Frozen Lemon aide 1529 times. :)

Easter 2011

Such a blessed Easter it was to celebrate with family. I am truly blessed to have such healthy and happy kids and a great family to share them with.
.....now what to do with all this darn candy...... :)

A Little Get Away

We are still recuperating from the fun had on our 2nd annual Easter weekend get away. This year we took Ninny and Grandpa with us. The trip was great as always. I couldn't decide what pictures to add...so I added a lot. There were so many good memories to share from our short but sweet visit. We stayed off the beaten path this time in little cabin next to the water. The simplicity of it made it awesome. We will definitely head back there again. How could you pass up breakfast at a place where the pancakes are this HUGE!?! Delish!

Rock candy...one of the main food groups, right?

We of course had our fun riding some rides and eating lots of good food. I feel like I need to detox from eating out all weekend. Fruits and veggies the rest of the week for us...
The weekend ended with one of my favorite things to do...sit outside under the porch and watch the rain. It reminds me of when I was little. My Dad always made his way outside with us to sit on the porch and watch the rain. They had a blast running in and out of the rain. It reconfirmed that a covered porch should stay on my "must have" list for our new house.
